• 12/6/1876: The City of DeLand was founded by Henry A. DeLand. He originally discovered and fell in love with the area while on vacation from South Carolina with his family.
  • 1926: Local architect WM J. Carpenter designed the three story Masonic Temple. When construction was complete, it was recognized to be the finest lodge facility in all of Florida.
  • 1930s: It was home to the Florida Motor Lines Station and the first floor was open to allow buses to pass through.
  • 1940-1950s: Multiple local businesses including a furniture store filled the space in the mid century.
  • 2001-2011: There have been a number of previous owners, but eventually this building was left completely vacant.
  • 2016-2017: Central Florida developer, Equinox, purchased the vacant building and decided to give it new life, while maintaining the character charm of the historic building.
